Fishers mom faces drug charges after toddlers found wandering blocks away

A Fisher's woman was arrested for her kids wondering around in just shirts on. She had possession of aderral and weed. A resident told officers she saw the two children walking near her home unsupervised and only wearing T-shirts. The neighbor took the children into her home and placed them in diapers before calling police. Due to their young age neither child was able to tell the officers where they lived, according to Tom Weger, public information officer for Fishers Police.

I think that the woman should have her children taken away from her and she should go to jail. They should be raised in a more stable household and they should not have to be around a mom on drugs who doesn't watch out for them. The mom should get help as well.

  1. After reading this article, I agree that the mother should be jailed, she's supposed to set a good example to her children, not take drugs and let them wander around the neighborhood by themselves. If nothing had been done about this, her children would have grown up and thought that it would be OK to do drugs whenever they wanted to, since Mom did.

  2. She is obviously an unfit mother. Her children walking about unsupervised, and in just shirts is sad, but this happens a lot due to the lack of care some parents give to their children. She should go to jail, but then the children would possibly have to go into the foster care system, which brings up an entirely new set of issues.

  3. This woman isn't a good parent if she can't keep track of her kids. No one that young should be walking the streets alone with just a T-Shirt on. I agree she should go to jail for child neglect.
